La Trobe Lawn Lunch



General Admission: $20                           

Concession (FT Student – & Under 15): $10 (no tickets required for children under 3 years)

  • A meal prepared by one of our social enterprise catering partners (incl. veg/vegan/gf options)
  • Welcome drink (beer, wine or soft)

A carefully selected range of wine and beer produced by La Trobe alumni, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase throughout the event from one of four specially crafted, recycled pallet bars built by the participants at La Trobe LifeSkills.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Free parking will be available on site on Sunday, 5 March 2017.  Ticket holders are encouraged to park in car park 3 for best access to entry.  Overflow parking will also be available in car park 2. Please follow the event signage on the day.

Taxi collection and drop off will be available at the security gatehouse.  Please follow event signage.

What can I bring to the event?

The La Trobe Lawn Lunch is an outdoor event with limited access to shade.


You might like to bring sunglasses, hats and sunscreen. Mixed seating will be provided including tables and chairs, picnic blankets and beanbags. No need to bring your own!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You will be required to present your ticket in order to gain entry into the Lawn Lunch – print your tickets or keep them handy in the Eventbrite app. 

Will there be allocated seating and table service?

The La Trobe Lawn Lunch is a relaxed, celebratory event which incorporates mixed seating and self-service. There will be no reserved or allocated seating.

What type of food will be available?

Each of our nine social enterprise catering partners will be offering a different menu based on their cultural cuisine or areas of speciality.  Your meal is included in your ticket.

Will there be entertainment?

A range of entertainment will be provided across the event including live music programmed to span La Trobe’s five decades, documentary and short film screenings and a soapbox for those who need it. Please note, the entertainment has been programmed for an adult audience of alumni, staff and students and will contain content for mature audiences.

I’m planning on hosting a reunion at the Lawn Lunch. Will you be able to assist me with this? What assistance can you provide?

Can I bring my children to this event?

Please note, unaccompanied minors will not be permitted entry to the La Trobe Lawn Lunch as it is a licensed event.  Concession tickets for children under 15 years old are available for purchase with adult tickets however the programme does not include age specific entertainment for children.  All minors will be required to be supervised by parents or responsible adults throughout the duration of the event.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are no ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event however in accordance with the Liquor Control Reform Act you may be required to present acceptable proof of age documents to purchase alcohol on site.  Unaccompanied minors will not be permitted entry.

What will happen if it rains? Will the event be cancelled?

In case of extreme weather the University reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or relocate the event within the La Trobe Bundoora campus.

Can I update my registration information?

You can update your registration information via Eventbrite until 24 hours prior to the event.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds can be requested by contacting before close of business Monday 6 February.  The University reserves the right to refuse requests for refunds submitted following that date.
